Cameron was known for his love of music, boxing, martial arts, and storytelling. He was the son of Lori Gales and Vincent Martwinski, and he is survived by his brother, Connor T. Gales, and his stepmother, Traci Martwinski, among other family members.
The circumstances surrounding Cameron's death were part of a double homicide. Cameron and another 19-year-old, Justin Luca, were found shot to death inside a house on Franklin Avenue in New Castle. The investigation led to the arrest of two teenagers, Caden Popovich and Dohnavin Miller, both 18 years old at the time. The arrests were made after a search warrant was executed at Popovich's residence, where police recovered two weapons believed to have been used in the incident.
Caden Popovich and Dohnavin Miller were charged with criminal homicide and additional firearms-related charges. Popovich faced additional charges for firearms not to be carried without a license, possession of a firearm by a minor, and receiving stolen property.
