On June 26, 2016, Vaughn Slaughter, a 26-year-old male from Detroit, Michigan, was found dead in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was discovered inside a car near the intersection of South Walnut and Chestnut Streets, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and neck. No one else was in the car at the time. Slaughter had a criminal record in Detroit, including charges for carrying a concealed weapon and narcotics possession.
