In the early morning hours of August 18, 2016, a quiet Waffle House parking lot in Florence, Kentucky, became the scene of a violent crime that claimed the life of 42-year-old Juan Vega. A resident of Fairfield, Ohio, Vega was discovered in the driver's seat of his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. The incident unfolded at approximately 5 a.m. at the restaurant located on Burlington Pike.
