On July 6, 2024, a mass shooting occurred at a 21st birthday party in Florence, Kentucky, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Shane Miller among three other victims. The incident took place at a home on Ridgecrest Drive, where Melissa Parrett, the mother of the birthday celebrant, was hosting the party.
