On November 27, 2008, 41-year-old Scott Allen Wright was on a fishing trip with two other men on Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho, when a tragic accident occurred. The boat they were on caught fire, forcing all three individuals to abandon the vessel and enter the frigid 38-degree water. While his two companions were subsequently rescued, Wright, who was not wearing a life jacket, disappeared from sight.
