In the winter of 2020, the life of 17-year-old Jamya Latrice Lewis, a Black female, was tragically cut short on the streets of Louisville, Kentucky. On the night of December 2nd, gunshots rang out in the 2800 block of South Third Street, near the University of Louisville campus.
