Amia N. Cox, a 22-year-old female, was shot to death in the early hours of July 7, 2025, in Shively, a small city within Jefferson County just outside Louisville, Kentucky. First responders found two women in their twenties with gunshot wounds in the 3200 block of Kingswood Way; both were pronounced dead at the scene, and the coroner identified one as 22-year-old Amia N. Cox and the other as 26-year-old Sontia R. Simmons.
