DeQuon Shaqual Maurice Merriweather, a 25-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on May 17, 2021, in Louisville, Kentucky. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. in the parking lot of a McDonald's on Bardstown Road. Merriweather was discovered by Sixth Division officers with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
