On August 26, 2018, 43-year-old Bennie Berry was shot and killed in Louisville, Kentucky, as he was leaving a church service at the Christian Faith Band Tabernacle in the Parkland neighborhood. The shooting occurred near the intersection of 32nd and Greenwood, close to the Boys & Girls Club. Witnesses reported that Berry was walking to his car when the incident took place.
