In the spring of 2024, a life full of adventure and laughter was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. Nicolas Christy Wedding, a 34-year-old man, was shot in the Okolona neighborhood on May 21st. Despite being rushed into surgery, he succumbed to his injuries. Known to his loved ones as Nick, he was remembered for his big heart, infectious smile, and a deep-seated passion for the outdoors, especially fishing.
Born with a spirit of exploration, Nick's childhood home often became
a sanctuary for the various creatures he would encounter on his expeditions. This love for nature and adventure continued into his adult life, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew him. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend, whose absence is deeply felt by his surviving family, including his father, mother, sister, and brothers.
In the wake of the shooting, a Louisville man was arrested in connection with Nick's death. The suspect later admitted his role in the fatal shooting to the police and was subsequently charged with murder. While the legal process moves forward, those who cherished Nick are left to remember a man who lived a life full of love and was known for his kind and polite nature.
