Joseph Armstrong was a 20-year-old Black man from Louisville, Kentucky, whose life was cut short by gunfire on the evening of May 13, 2021. He grew up in the city and attended Fairdale High School, and the people who later wrote about him online remembered someone outgoing and affectionate, the kind of young man who joked with friends, doted on nieces and nephews, and went out of his way for the people he loved.
