In the Shelby Park neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, Nicholas L. Clay, a 42-year-old Black/African American man, was shot and killed on the morning of March 1, 2022. The incident, which police believe was an attempted robbery, unfolded on the doorstep of his home as he was returning from his job as a contract worker for UPS. His wife witnessed the tragic event through their home security camera as he was ambushed and shot while walking inside.
