In the Portland neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, a 23-year-old male named Keiandre Grinstead was fatally shot on February 19, 2015. The incident occurred near the intersection of 28th and Bank Streets. Following the shooting, a woman attempted to transport Grinstead to the hospital. Emergency medical services met them at 16th and Broadway, and he was taken to University Hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into Grinstead's death led to the
arrests of two individuals. In March 2015, authorities charged 21-year-old I'an-Da'Shaun Neal with murder and tampering with physical evidence. According to police reports, Neal shot Grinstead multiple times and then fled the scene. He was booked into Metro Corrections on March 21.
Several months later, in October 2015, a second suspect, 23-year-old Lorenzo Allen, was arrested and charged in connection with the homicide. Police allege that Allen drove himself and Neal to the location where the robbery and fatal shooting of Grinstead took place. After Neal shot Grinstead, Allen allegedly drove them away from the area. Allen faced charges of murder, robbery, and tampering with physical evidence.
