In the quiet moments of an April evening in Wichita, Kansas, the life of Stanislaus Saiz, a 57-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically cut short. On April 16, 2017, Saiz was seated in his vehicle in front of a residence at 646 N. Edwards when an unknown individual approached. Without warning, the assailant opened fire on the vehicle, striking and fatally wounding Saiz. The sudden violence of the act shattered the peace of the neighborhood and left a family grappling with a devastating loss.
