On a Thanksgiving evening that should have been filled with warmth and family, a dispute shattered the peace in a Lexington, Kentucky neighborhood. Eric Sweat, a 36-year-old man, was at a residence on Sandalwood Drive on November 25, 2021, when a disorder escalated to the sound of gunfire. The joy of the holiday turned to tragedy in an instant.
