In the early evening of January 3, 2022, the life of 24-year-old DAndre Malik Green was tragically cut short in what would become the first homicide of the year in Lexington, Kentucky. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 8:51 p.m., police officers arrived at a residence in the 500 block of Anniston Drive to find Green unresponsive inside. The Lexington Fire Department, also at the scene, confirmed that he had succumbed to his injuries.
