In the early morning hours of a July day in Lexington, Kentucky, a grim discovery was made near the Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The body of 42-year-old Earl Parvin, a male, was found by a passerby on Ballpark Drive. The Fayette County coroner's office would later confirm that Parvin's death was the result of a gunshot wound, and authorities immediately began treating the case as a homicide.
