In the summer of 2022, a tragedy unfolded in a south Jefferson County home that left a family grieving and a community searching for answers. Purnell Trent Maddox, a 46-year-old Black male, was found deceased inside his residence on Nez Perce Way in Louisville, Kentucky, on the afternoon of June 22, 2022. His life was cut short by an act of violence that continues to be investigated by law enforcement.
