On December 11, 2015, 22-year-old Toreze Bland was shot and killed in Louisville, Kentucky. He was found dead near an apartment complex in the 600 block of South 44th Street, marking one of the many tragic deaths related to gun violence in the city that year. Toreze, known to his family and friends as a loving person, had his life cut short in a senseless act of violence.
