On a tragic day in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of 17-year-old Adrianna Stanton was cut short in a devastating act of violence that also claimed the lives of her mother and younger sister. Adrianna, a promising Black female high school senior, was known for her intelligence, responsibility, and bright future. She was an active and engaged student at duPont Manual High School, where she held the position of president of the Black Student Union and had aspirations of becoming a lawyer.
