In the Park DuValle neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, a 31-year-old Black woman named Latia Davette Greenwell was fatally shot on the evening of Tuesday, December 19, 2023. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of South 32nd Street. When Louisville Metro Police officers arrived at the scene, they found Greenwell with a gunshot wound. First responders provided aid until she was transported to University Hospital, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
