Sharon Lee LaFollette Needy, a 49-year-old Caucasian woman, tragically lost her life on September 14, 1989, in a horrific act of workplace violence in Louisville, Kentucky. She was one of eight people killed in a mass shooting at the Standard Gravure printing plant. The gunman, Joseph T. Wesbecker, a 47-year-old pressman at the company, entered the facility armed with multiple firearms and began shooting indiscriminately.
