In the early afternoon of January 3, 2022, in Louisville, Kentucky, a devastating series of events began to unfold that would ultimately claim the life of 36-year-old Jakia Holt, a Black female, and her unborn child. Holt was discovered inside a crashed vehicle at the intersection of 38th and Bank streets in the Shawnee neighborhood, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
