In the winter of 2020, a life was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. Eighteen-year-old Armani Hall was fatally shot in an incident that authorities would later describe as reckless. The shooting occurred just after midnight on a Sunday in December at The Oaks at St. Andrews apartment complex, located off Saint Andrews Church Road.
According to police reports, a group of individuals was being careless with a firearm when it discharged, striking Hall.
She was rushed to University Hospital but succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving. The incident led to the arrest of 21-year-old Adrianna King, who was charged with reckless homicide in connection with Hall's death.
During her court appearance, King pleaded not guilty. Her attorney stated that the shooting was the result of a group of people handling a gun in a careless manner. The judge presiding over the case set her bail at $10,000 cash, remarking on the tragic outcome of adults playing with a firearm. It was not made clear by authorities whether King and Hall knew each other prior to the fatal event.
