In the early hours of May 1, 2021, a 37-year-old mother of two, Kasmira Nash, was fatally shot while working at the Vibes Restaurant and Ultra Lounge on River Road in Louisville, Kentucky. The nightclub was crowded for a Derby weekend kickoff party. Nash, who also worked at Humana, was a bartender at the establishment to provide for her family.
