Death by Force

Jermia Offutt, 28, a Black woman from Louisville, was shot on the night of August 13, 2025, in the Chickasaw neighborhood and later died at the hospital. Louisville Metro Police responded around 9 p.m. to the 4100 block of West Broadway; the shooting occurred in the parking lot of a market at 4132 West Broadway. She was four months pregnant and the mother of three children.
