On August 16, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky, 34-year-old Yailin Casales Espine was found fatally shot in her apartment on Liverpool Lane in the Bon Air neighborhood. Officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department discovered her with multiple gunshot wounds shortly after 5 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
