In the quiet of a late summer evening in Gnesen Township, Minnesota, a tragic accident claimed the life of 50-year-old Daren Eugene Beede. On Sunday, August 23, 2015, at approximately 6 p.m., St. Louis County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a home just north of Duluth. When they arrived, they found Daren Beede suffering from a gunshot wound. He was able to tell the officers that he had dropped a firearm, and it had accidentally discharged.
