In the late afternoon of a Tuesday in Minneapolis, the life of 25-year-old Black male, Melvonta Jermaine Jacox, was tragically cut short. On September 29, 2015, just before 4 p.m., Jacox was in the front yard of a residence on the 2600 block of Irving Avenue North when he was shot in the head. The Coon Rapids resident was rushed to North Memorial Medical Center in nearby Robbinsdale for medical attention.
