On August 11, 2023, 35-year-old Nicholas Trevor "August" Golden was fatally shot during a punk rock concert in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. at a house venue known as Nudieland, located in the 2200 block of 16th Avenue South. According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office, Golden died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
