Shane Terran Boswell, a 23-year-old resident of Minneapolis, MN, was found dead on August 18, 2020. According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Boswell died from a gunshot wound to the chest, and his death was ruled a homicide. The incident occurred in the area of Nicollet Avenue and West 59th Street. At approximately 6:22 a.m., individuals in the vicinity reported a man lying on the ground, unresponsive. Upon arrival, Minneapolis police officers discovered Boswell already deceased.

In the days following Boswell's death, the investigation revealed connections to other violent incidents in the area. Christopher M. Todd, a 19-year-old, was charged with second-degree murder in two separate cases, one of which involved the death of Boswell. Todd was reportedly present to inquire about the death of his friend, Shane Boswell, during a break-in. Todd's involvement in Boswell's case added complexity to the investigation, as he was also implicated in the killing of 61-year-old Teresa A. Bear Ribs in St. Paul, MN, just days after Boswell's death.

As of the latest updates, Todd remains in custody, held on a $1 million bond for both cases. The investigation into Boswell's death continues, with authorities working to uncover further details and connections between the incidents.
