On a summer evening in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on June 16, 2015, the life of a young African-American man was cut short. Eric Darvell Ferguson, a 22-year-old male, was in the front yard of a residence on the 3900 block of Fremont Avenue North when he became the victim of a drive-by shooting. Struck by multiple gunshots, he was rushed to North Memorial Medical Center for emergency care. Despite the efforts of medical staff, Ferguson succumbed to his injuries less than an hour after the attack.
