On May 12, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Jahcohn Edward Anderson. The shooting took place at the Quick African Market, located at 5700 Brookdale Drive, just before 11 p.m. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found Anderson lying face down in the business' entryway, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the head and torso.
First responders rushed Anderson to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts,
