In the early morning hours of July 7, 2016, a Minneapolis street corner became the final scene in the life of 52-year-old James Jerome Salter. He was found lying on the pavement at the intersection of 5th Avenue South and Lake Street, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner would later rule his death a homicide. Salter, a male, was the victim of a senseless act of violence that cut his life short.
