On a late afternoon in early summer, a violent confrontation inside a Coon Rapids apartment building claimed the life of 21-year-old Elijah James Stangler. The incident, which occurred on June 6, 2022, also resulted in the death of 23-year-old Sherman Lashawn Antonio Frazier of Coon Rapids. Stangler was a resident of Anoka.
