male, as the primary suspect. Nearly two months after the homicide, Dedrick was identified as a suspect, and a warrant for his arrest was issued. On December 11, 2020, Dedrick turned himself in to law enforcement in Sumpter, South Carolina. He was subsequently extradited back to North Carolina on December 17, 2020, where he was charged with murder and robbery.
