In the early hours of a Minneapolis morning, the life of Ahmed Mahamed Badal, a 35-year-old Black man of Somali descent, was tragically cut short. On April 12, 2021, while working as a Lyft driver to support his growing family, Badal was shot and killed near the intersection of 14th Avenue South and East 28th Street.
