In a heartbreaking incident on October 21, 2024, a 3-year-old Black/African American boy named Jajuan Robinson, also known as Junior, died in a northeast Minneapolis apartment. The young child was at home with a babysitter while his mother, Charlotte Williams, was at work. He discovered a loaded firearm that had been left unsecured and accidentally shot himself in the head. First responders rushed him to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
