Jahmari Rice, a 15-year-old Black / African American male, had only been a student at the South Education Center in Richfield, a suburb of Minneapolis, for a week when his life was cut short. On February 1, 2022, a dispute that began inside the school spilled out into the parking lot around lunchtime. What started as an argument between a group of students quickly escalated into a tragedy that would leave a community in mourning.
