On November 24, 2023, 60-year-old Donald Edmondson was fatally shot in his north Minneapolis apartment. Officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Gateway Lofts on West Broadway Avenue around 3 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Edmondson with a gunshot wound to the chest; despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner later confirmed that Edmondson's death was a homicide caused by the gunshot wound. Investigations revealed that E ...
