On a tragic spring evening in Wichita, Kansas, the life of 17-year-old Leon McClennon, a Black/African American male, was cut short. On May 9, 2015, the West High School student was attending a private birthday party in the basement of a venue at 1719 S. Hillside. He was an innocent bystander, uninvolved in the conflict that would ultimately lead to his death.
