On a tragic Monday, May 9, 2016, Brad Lancaster, a 39-year-old Caucasian male and a dedicated detective with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, lost his life in the line of duty. A nine-year veteran of the force, he was responding to a call about a suspicious person near the Kansas Speedway when the fatal encounter unfolded.
