On the evening of Thursday, March 30, 2017, Shelton Maseo Estell, a 34-year-old Black male, was found shot to death in Kansas City, Kansas. The discovery was made around 6 p.m. in the 2200 block of Glendale Avenue, where Estell was located in the street.

At the time, the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department identified the case as the city's seventh homicide of the year. Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division were assigned to the case and began looking into the circumstan ...
