On a late summer morning, the routine task of mowing a grassy area near 46th Street and Leavenworth Road in Kansas City, Kansas, took a grim turn. On August 22, 2016, a city street crew discovered the body of 38-year-old Joshua Bush, a White male from Kansas City. It was soon determined that he had been fatally shot. The discovery, made around 8:30 a.m. about 15 feet from the road, launched a homicide investigation into the death of the hardworking family man.
