In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Kansas City, Kansas, the life of Kenneth Barr, a 60-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On April 3, 2019, gunshots shattered the quiet of the 1000 block of Lafayette Avenue, prompting a response from local law enforcement. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered Barr suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate attention, he was pronounced dead at the location.
