On a Sunday in late April of 2017, the city of Topeka, Kansas, was rocked by a tragic event that claimed the lives of three men. Among the victims was Jesus Galvez, a 64-year-old male of Filipino descent, who was working at a residence that served as a home for individuals with special needs. He and his 20-year-old son, Soren Galvez, were at the location carrying out maintenance tasks when the violence erupted.
