In the early hours of July 20, 2024, the life of 31-year-old Earon Cooper, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Topeka, Kansas. Police responded to a call of a shooting just after midnight in the 2900 block of Southwest Topeka Boulevard. Upon their arrival, they discovered Cooper in his vehicle near a Crunch Fitness, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First responders pronounced him deceased at the scene, marking the city's 11th homicide of the year.
