In the quiet city of Topeka, Kansas, the evening of January 16, 2015, was shattered by violence that claimed the life of 49-year-old James M. Reeder, Jr. a male, who was fatally shot. The incident unfolded at a residence in the 4000 block of SW 34th Street, where police were dispatched around 9:34 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Reeder deceased at the scene.
