On the night of August 10, 2020, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in the 3800 block of S.W. South Park Avenue in Topeka, Kansas, leading to the tragic death of 35-year-old Angelo Epps, a Black/African American male. Responding to calls of multiple shots fired at approximately 10:14 p.m., Topeka Police officers arrived at the scene to a grim discovery. Three individuals had been struck by bullets. Epps was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.
