In the early morning hours of December 12, 2017, a fire engulfed a single-story home in the 800 block of Troup Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas. First responders, arriving around 3:20 a.m. to battle the heavy flames, made a grim discovery inside the residence. Initially, two bodies were found, and as the investigation continued, a third was located within the charred remains of the house.
